OTHER MOTHER Presents: Masturbation Remote
OTHER MOTHER is the collective creative work of half siblings Talya Epstein and Jonathan Ross. It has many forms. It is shape shifting. It is constantly evolving. It is performance, criticism, and support. OTHER MOTHER's work straddles the realms of theater and dance. It stands simultaneously inside and outside of genre. Their first piece evening length piece, Masturbation Remote, is a trio involving one male, one female, and an obsolete television which receives only static signals. The two performers, like the constantly searching television, exist in states of confusion, longing, and uselessness. There is a continual power struggle between the three in attempts to nd balance and understanding between the immediate given circumstances and the endless possibilities of the unknown.
