Seattle Tilth Chicken Coop and Urban Farm Tour 2011
In this self-guided tour through the greater Seattle area, you will see simple coops built in an afternoon and elaborate houses that took weeks of planning and building. Also check out how our city is raising goats, bees, ducks, rabbits, and growing their own food in so many different ways! Visit over 40 sites all over Seattle, and one in Duvall, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Issaquah, and two in Renton.
Learn from seeing what your neighbors are doing. Ask questions about building coops and shelters, daily chores and other questions you have about keeping chickens or urban livestock. This tour might be the inspiration for you to build your dream coop or begin a fun and rewarding new hobby! You will enjoy seeing the many creative arrangements people have developed in their urban yards and "urban homesteads".
After purchasing tickets, you will receive a link to the full Google Map of the host locations, a downloadable PDF of the map, and if you selected the printed map option, we'll send you a copy in the mail.
