Intro to Food Processing: Licensing and Selling
Calling aspiring and new food makers who are looking to sell your product wholesale! Here's your opportunity to hear from New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets and the FDA on complying with the state and federal regulation necessary to launch and sustain your food business.  This workshop will include ample time for questions, helpful handouts to understand the steps to take to comply with licensing and scheduled processing policies, and informative discussion.

Panel participants include:

ROB DONDORF,  Chief Food Inspector at NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets
Covering Article 20-C licensing and scheduled processing

PETER TRUNK, Food Specialist at the FDA
Covering the FDA requirements when selling outside of NYS and/or nationally

ROBIN PUSKAS, Chef/Owner of NYC Kitchen Co (Moderator)
Generating conversation around steps to getting licensed, preparing for an inspection, and the common pitfalls among food businesses when taking these steps
