 Don't miss the Boston-area premiere of BIRTH! Two days only - Friday, September 28 & Saturday, September 29!
Join us for a production of the critically-acclaimed play, BIRTH, by Karen Brody and a talkback panel discussion with local birth professionals following the play!
BIRTH is a play based on over one hundred interviews Karen Brody conducted with mothers across America who gave birth between 2000-2004. It tells the true stories of 8 women painting a portrait of how low-risk, educated women are giving birth in America today.
TICKET PRICING
Tickets are available at sliding-scale pricing ($25-$100). Our productions of BIRTH are fundraising events for organizations working towards mother-friendly maternity care. Please help us make our fundraiser a huge success by purchasing a higher-priced ticket if you can! Student tickets are also available for $12.50.

ICAN's mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).

What is BOLD?
BOLD (Birth On Labor Day) is a global movement to make maternity care mother-friendly focused on grassroots events that use the arts to get communities to educate themselves, speak their truth and take action on maternity care issues.
BOLD is an awareness-raising and fundraising opportunity for groups, organizations and individuals to support mother-initiated dialogue and solutions to maternity care.

* Come to the theatre an hour prior to the Friday & Saturday evening performances (6-7pm) for the BOLD Birth Fair!
Get information about local/national birth resources, bid on fantastic raffle items, meet Boston-area birth professionals (doulas, childbirth educators, etc.) and even get a free shoulder massage for pregnant women!
* Babes-in-arms welcome.
* Due to some adult language/content, the play is not recommended for children.
