Heather Chamberlain directs film actors Dian Bachar (Orgazmo, BASEketball) as Te, and Eva Jenickova (Man on the Moon, Diary of a Sex Addict) as Procne, in Ismene, in aid of the Susan G. Komen For The Cure, Los Angeles County. May 11-14th, The Actor's Forum Theatre, 10655 Magnolia Blvd, North Hollywood. Doors at 7pm, performance 8pm.
Everyone has a story to tell. What's yours? The secret only you know? Do you fight your fight alone? The setting and time are irrelevant... the nature of this story crosses generations.
A study in the age-old philosophical question of Free Will against Determinism, we follow Ismene, played by Caroline Treadwell, reprising her role from the original Chicago production, the 'weak' sister of Antigone and daughter of Oedipus. This is HER story. You, the audience, follow her to the darkly magical confines of the School for Arktoi, a safe house for threatened souls.
Chased by a foul, mewling, thousand-strong Chorus, hungry for the completion of their purpose; the demise of their quarry, Ismene. This is her fight for the truth. This is her battle against fate! We discover her inner strength and her defiant struggle against the hidden threat that finds its way within the magical walls of our play's setting.
Each character is driven by their own truth, their own fate! Each must deal with their history and face their demons; face their GOD!
Jeremy Menekseoglu's darkly comic tale is brought to you by Director Heather Chamberlain, stage actress and American Academy of Dramatic Art LA alumni, Producers Jason Kilby and Theresa Rose bring an amazing cast to the historic The Actor's Forum Theatre on Magnolia Avenue, in the heart of the No Ho Arts District of North Hollywood.

The Ismene Project LA will run over 4 nights, May 11th through 14th, with a portion of the proceeds from the LA production's tickets sales to be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Los Angeles County (http://www.komenlacounty.org/), the world's largest network of breast cancer survivors and activists, all dedicated to the worldwide fight against breast cancer.
