Local Musicians Showcase w/ Peter McLaughlin, Robyn Landis, Rudy Cortese, & Friends
Join us for an evening of Tucson folk at it's finest. Peter McLaughlin and Robyn Landis will be teaming up for a set and Rudy Cortese with Cadillac Mountain will also be performing.

Guitarists/Singers/Songwriters Peter McLaughlin and Robyn Landis will be teaming up to front a set and Banjo/Mandolin wiz Rudy Cortese and picker, Joel Leland fronting their bluegrass/folk/roots band, Cadillac Mountain.

Peter McLaughlin has been touring nationally and internationally for more than 35 years and now plays with Tucson's Sonoran Dogs. Peter started playing the guitar at the age of eight and was very soon jamming at bluegrass festivals and fiddler conventions. He lived in Denmark in the early 70s, and attended a Danish high school. There, he was fortunate to play music and become close friends with the talented guitarist Mike Wollenberg, who currently resides in the woods of Canyon, California. In the 80's he moved to Tucson and has become one of our local boasts for musical talent.

Robyn Landis is a songwriter of unusual literacy, unflinching honesty and evocative imagery. Her powerful command of songcraft and fierce sense of justice prompts frequent comparisons to Richard Shindell. A poet from age four, Robyn has been a professional writer all her life, publishing magazine pieces at 16 and two best-selling books in her 20s before turning her attention to music. Her literary gifts and skills proved transferable, and earned her quick recognition as a lyricist. Robyn has garnered more than 55 songwriting honors since 2005, including first place at Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Grand Prize in the 2009 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, 2009 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist and 2012 Wildflower! Festival Songwriting Contest Winner. She also received honorable mentions in the prestigious Rocky Mountain Folks Fest and Telluride Troubadors competitions.

Rudy Cortese and Joel Leland are the foundation of Cadillac Mountain bluegrass band. Rudy and Joel are favorites on the Tucson music scene and are set to offer up something extra special at the Sea Of Glass. Rudy is a two time winner of Four Corner States Banjo championship and has performed in Arizona for more than 25 years. Joel is a talented guitarist/vocalist.

These featured musicians will be joined by some more Tucson talent to be announced so stay tuned!
