What Does It Feel Like to Kill Someone?
Choreographed by Mary Carbonara, the world premiere work with the difficult title, "What Does it Feel Like to Kill Someone?" questions how close to an act of violence an individual must be before bearing some responsibility for it. What are the politics of protection? When is it okay to do nothing? How far removed must a person be before one is free from involvement or responsibility? Our so-called global community is now constantly witnessed to killing and our access to scenes of violence is immediate and relatively uncensored. By how many degrees must one be separated before being exonerated?
Choreographer: Mary Carbonara Composer: Peter V. Swendsen Dancers: Laura Sharp, Brendan Barthel, Kerry Demme, Erin Huestis, Arthur Prettyman
