Geno Delafose & French Rockin' Boogie
Intiman Theatre Seattle, WA
Geno Delafose, Grammy nominated Creole Cowboy takes us deep into the heart of the South with the unique sound of Louisiana Zydeco. Contemporary Zydeco is a synthesis of traditional Creole, Cajun and Blues music and also includes traditional "French style" accordion tunes. With the accompaniment of rub-boards, fiddle, guitar, drums and even the occasional dog bark, Geno and his band offer an exhilarating and interactive sing-along, dance-along introduction to this unique American cultural tradition. In a special interactive feature, kids will have the opportunity to learn a traditional Louisiana Zydeco dance.
