ANTIGONE, a production of Strong Coffee Stage is a new and original two-actor performance of the classic Greek tragedy. Inspired by the writings of Sophocles, Jean Anouilh, Bertolt Brecht, Anne Carson, Jocelyn Clarke, Seamus Heaney and Charles Mee, the story of the headstrong young daughter of Oedipus comes to life amidst an imaginative and startlingly playful landscape.
In "Solea por Aire," Rose Nisker combines the earthy drama of Flamenco dance with the ethereal grace of aerial fabric. Using a traditional Flamenco skirt with a 6-foot train ("bata de cola"), Rose ascends the fabric to daring heights in this unique dance of strength, passion and beauty.
