Fifth Annual Richard Foreman Mini-Festival

For PWNW's annual fundraiser, a scintillating array of Portland area theatre, dance and media artists rise to the challenge of creating a piece in 10 days by cutting, pasting, mangling or otherwise adapting text selected from avant-garde writer/director Richard Foreman's online notebooks. On August 7, the performers are given the text plus a few rules and restrictions. Ten days later audiences thrill to the amusing, shocking and enlightening results in two different programs over two nights of avant fun.

Bryan Markovitz & LIminal Group are assembling 30 performers for a site-specific durational piece along Foster Avenue that can be viewed before, during and after the indoor performances.

Linda Austin & the Boris & Natasha Dancers will create/rehearse their piece the first night onstage and perform it the second night.
