Eat, Learn & Talk About "Food & Health in Spokane"

Unitarian Universalist Church
Spokane, WA

At 6pm on Tuesday, June 7th, the Spokane Regional Health District releases new information about Spokane's food realities, with the presentation, "Food and Health in Spokane County: A Closer Look."

Visiting author Jeremy Smith, Growing a Garden City, kicks off the conversation, talking about examples of how people engage in food in his community, Missoula, MT. Very transferable examples for Spokane!

And you can show up early for one of Chef David Blaine's famous PopUp Restaurant meals. Available before the talk, between 4:30-5:45pm, so you don't have to worry about squeezing in dinner between work and the event. Veg & Meat options available. Limited quantity available. Pre-purchase a ticket now - deadline is 6/4/11.
