Council Member Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. & Age Friendly Ambassadors of Bedford Stuyvesant present a "Walk Through History" Bus Tour of Notable African-Americans. In appreciation of the roles, achievements and contributions of African Americans to our society, we pay tribute to our ancestral heritage upon whose shoulders we stand. On this 150th Anniversary of Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, we seek to promote and cultivate knowledge and appreciation of African American history and culture.
