The Country Club
The Country Club by Douglas Carter Beane is set in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This "comedy" follows a year in the lives of six insular friends (and one outsider) through a series of holiday-themed parties where drinks are bolted and truths are spewed.
Lives are casually destroyed, lives go on and through it all, tragedies are discussed without being mentioned. As one character observes between cocktail sips, "We all have our little stories and nobody brings them up. That's what's known as community spirit."
The show, being performed at the Factory Theatre from 5/26 -- 6/4, will be directed by Mikey DiLoreto and will star seven of Boston's best Fringe actors: Krista D'Agostino (Chloe), E. Abigail Matzeder (Soos), Nick Miller (Bri), Kiki Samko (Pooker), Victor Shopov (Zip), Audrey Lynn Sylvia (Froggy), and Michael Underhill (Hutch).
