The Catskill Sonata

Directed by acclaimed film maker Paul Mazursky (Moscow on the Hudson, Harry and Tonto, Down and Out in Beverly Hills) and written by Michael Elias (The Frisco Kid, The Jerk) The Catskill Sonata takes place in June late 1950's at Rosen's Hotel which caters to progressive Jews from New York City. The blacklist looms, many have lost jobs, Dave Vaughn, a brilliant, tortured writer holds court on the front patio, sharing his wit and wisdom with all who come into range; a lovesick busboy, a tough businessman, a hotel owner, a concert pianist and a Russian dictator.
