Momos for Nepal
On April 25, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude Earthquake struck the Himalayan region, with its epicenter near the city of Kathmandu. Relief efforts have been inhibited by continued aftershocks, including a second quake measuring 7.3 that struck on May 12.
Unfortunately, we will not be holding the tasting event, but instead, the supporting restaurants and markets encourage you to continue to support the relief efforts through the following organizations:
adhikaar.org supports NYC-based Nepali-speaking immigrant communities and has been working very closely with their contacts in the stricken region.
Direct Relief provides emergency medical supplies and equipment to regions impacted by natural disaster as well as persistent short supply. They have committed to use all donations received for the eartquake directly in Nepal and affected regions.
Thank you, Smorgasburg, The Brooklyn Kitchen, Brooklyn Brewery Il Buco, Insa from the Good Fork, Mighty Quinn's, Porchetta, Red Farm, Saltie, Sullivan Street Bakery
