Exhibition Lecture - Weird, Wild & Wonderful: The Art of Orchids by Phillip Cribb
Dr. Cribb has been at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew since 1974, retiring in 2006 as Deputy Keeper of the Herbarium and Curator of the Orchid Herbarium. Well-known for his work in the orchid family (Orchidaceae), he holds Honorary Research Fellowships at Kew and Royal Holloway College, University of London. During the past 40 years he has taken numerous botanical expeditions across the world, and has written or co-authored more than 400 scientific papers and a prolific number of books. He is currently a member of three committees of the Royal Horticultural Society and was chair of IUCN's Species Survival Committee's Orchid Specialist Group from 1995-2006. Dr. Cribb's keynote is being generously underwritten by Orchid Digest.
