Exhibition Lecture - Weird, Wild & Wonderful: Painting the Wonder Plants of Borneo
There are enormous numbers of living things in the tropical rain forests of Borneo: giant jungle trees rising 200 to 250 feet high, insects carrying pollen, animals feeding on fruitsall interacting with each other and the unique weather in a complex and mysterious dance. Rafflesia, the largest flower on earth, can grow only in this kind of jungle. Mieko Ishikawa has visited Borneo 11 times and was fascinated with the energy and mystery that fills the jungle. In this lecture, she shares the wonders of the tropical forest in Borneo.
