At FoodLab, we are committed to creating a more sustainable, healthy, just food system that is accountable to all Detroiters and, as part of that, we embrace and uplift the culinary roots of our members.
We are extremely proud of the diversity within our membership and we welcome the cultural differences that each one of them brings to the table. As we prepare for our second pop-up dinner, our next team of chefs will be working together to translate recipes and traditions handed down to them through generations of black women. This soulful vegan menu solidifies a new genre of cooking, celebrating fresh, high-quality, and local food showcasing the diverse culinary traditions of the American South.
We know that food and culture are inseparable and that history is always on the plate. We're excited to see these women meld their unique perspectives into one delicious meal together to give us a taste of a few of the many stories from the American South!
We welcome you to the FoodLab Table and we look forward to this dinner bringing us all closer, nourishing our bodies and souls, and connecting us through the stories on our plates.
The FoodLab Table features a 3 Course Dinner, with service beginning at 7pm. Advanced Ticket Price - $20* / per person At the Door - $25* / per person
