The Zero Gravity Arts Consortium (ZGAC)--an international space arts organization dedicated to fostering greater access for artists to space flight technology and zero gravity space--has join the San Francisco International Arts Festival 2011 to showcase a unique video program featuring international artists and space science collaborations created by those working at the nexus of cultural expression and space exploration. Today, a new breed of contemporary artists have initiated projects to explore outer space on their own terms by realizing their art beyond our home planet Earth or by creating new art forms with their own bodies floating free in weightlessness during zero-gravity parabolic fights.

The Arts, Humanities and Culture in Space Exploration Documentary Screening Program with curator Frank Pietronigro, supports the Space Arts Development Fund of the National Space Society and is produced in collaboration with Golden Star Productions and the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at the College of Fine Arts, Carnegie Mellon University. Video screenings will be complimented with live personal appearances that will inform, inspire and educate audiences to international developments taking place today in this international arena.
