Instruments of Change
On May 6th, 2011 the West Seattle Food Bank will be hosting our 4th annual Instruments of Change Dinner and Fundraiser. This special event brings together neighbors to support the West Seattle Food Bank and to celebrate the achievements of this organization in the community. Attendance and support of this event from the public will ensure that the West Seattle Food Bank can continue to serve as an instrument of positive change in the West Seattle Community. The evening will feature dinner, no-host wine and beer, live music, Funds for Food donation ask and Dessert Dash. This year we are very fortunate to have King County Executive Dow Constantine as our guest speaker. Dow Constantine was sworn in as King County Executive on November 24, 2009. He served as a King County Council member for seven years, and has held elected office in Washington State for 13 years. Dow is working to instill a culture of performance that changes the way King County does business. His goal is to form partnerships with residents, cities, employees, and other county leaders to craft real, sustainable reforms. To learn more about him please visit http://www.kingcounty.gov/exec/constantine/biography.aspx. We look forward to seeing you there!
