Seduction, treachery and deceit reign in FTE's production of The Tragedy of King Lear, playing as part of the 4th Annual Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival.
As the aged King of Britain prepares to hand over control of his realm to his daughters, a power struggle has already begun. The King loses control as he is blinded to the advice of the faithful and trustworthy. Brought to madness by the heartless actions of his children, the old King must face his mistakes and find some kind of redemption, or be doomed to an exile of the body and mind.
BOXED SANDWICH DINNER: On nights when King Lear is shown, the following sandwich dinner from Kuleto's Restaurant is offered for your convenience:
Roast Beef, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato aioli, red onion and horseradish cream on Focaccia Bread. Mixed green salad, bag of chips and soda or water ($12.50) Select when making ticket purchase
Note: Seating is General Admisson (no assigned seats) It is outdoor, amphitheatre style for excellent visibility in chairs with backs and arms. Wheelchair seating is available. Parking is free in the Oak Meadow parking lot on show nights, and there is additional street parking within a short walking distance of the stage area.
