Birding by Kayak
Bring your own kayak, or use one of the kayaks generously donated for the day by Blue Waters Kayak, for this loop of Tomales Bay to spot some of the many species of birds that roost near, nest in, and visit these waters. Leaving from Miller Boat Launch (Nick's Cove), participants will traverse the Bay, swinging past Hog Island where cormorants and pelicans roost, heading North to White Gulch, then looping back past the oyster flats and Preston Point. Learn how to use wind and tides to view birds.
