Wildlife Nature Photography
Bring your camera, and get ready to learn about exposure, composition and capturing wildlife using digital single lens reflex-type cameras. Ron LeValley has spent 40 years photographing nature, and becoming expert in the camera technology that has evolved over that time. This session includes a morning indoor presentation followed by an afternoon of practice in the field. Ron will review settings on digital SLR cameras and techniques of exposure, composition, depth of field, and capturing moving targets. If time allows, he'll show some of his impressive collection (over 70,000 images) of wildlife photography for inspiration. Guide: Ron LeValley Where to meet: Point Reyes Fire Station Event location: Point Reyes Fire Station, 4th & B Streets, Point Reyes Station, followed by field practice What to bring: Digital DSLR camera and owner's manual; lens of any length; tripod (optional); binoculars; hiking boots; warm clothing; water
