Spring Delights of Tomales Point
Study everything from birds to wildflowers to butterflies in one of the most scenic hikes in Marin County. The group will study the flora and fauna of grasslands and watch for ocean birds and whales. The four and a half mile round trip features spring wildflowers, tule elk, birds of grasslands and the coast! On a clear day, views from the Tomales Point are among the best on the California Coast. Moderate trail walking. Guide: Wendy Dreskin Carpool from: Dance Palace Community Center, 503 B Street, Point Reyes Station, at 7:30 am Event location: Pierce Ranch trailhead, Point Reyes National Seashore What to bring: binoculars; hand lens; warm and wind resistant clothes; hiking poles (if you use them), water, snack (optional) Limited to 15 participants
