Local Food Wisdom presents Ingredients, a documentary film
American food is in a state of crisis. Health, food costs and our environment are all in jeopardy. A movement to put good food back on the table is emerging. What began 30 years ago with chefs demanding better flavor, has inspired consumers to seek relationships with nearby farmers. This is local food.

Please join us for the Chicago debut of this new documentary film, presented by Jim Javenkoski, founder of Local Food Wisdom. In addition to the film screening, the event includes networking with other locavores, food provided by Chef Matt Maroni of gaztro-wagon and a brief panel session featuring farmers Beth and Brent Eccles (Green Acres Farm, North Judson, IN) and chef Marianne Sundquist (In Fine Spirits in Andersonville). A cash bar will offer selected brews from Chicago's own Revolution and Haymarket breweries. Attendees will have an opportunity to purchase an advance copy of the Ingredients DVD for $20 (the film will be commercially released in late March 2011).
