Sip your way through the wine regions of Italy at Slow Food's 4th Annual Golden Glass. This lively afternoon wine tasting features over 60 producers of terroir driven, prize winning and rising star Italian wines, San Francisco's finest restaurants, California's artisan foods, and the Slow Food Ark of Taste, a program that seeks to preserve endangered and heritage foods.

The national Buy Fresh Buy Local campaign will be launched at this years Golden Glass. Learn about "Buy Fresh Buy Local" and becoming a "co-producer" to guarantee ourselves Good, Clean and Fair food. Get a copy of the new Bay Area Local Food Guide and speak to local food leaders that are partnering directly with producers. In addition to a raffle offering a week at some of Italy's fine wineries, the event features a silent auction of hard to find Italian wines and other items offered by members of Slow Food San Francisco.

*** UPDATE ***
The White Boot Brigade, named for the distinctive rubber boots worn by Louisiana commercial fishers, will share wild-harvesting traditions and freshly cooked product in their mission to help shrimpers and fishers still rebounding from the devastating 2005 hurricane.
