Directed by six-time Academy Award nominee Peter Weir, THE WAY BACK is an epic story of survival, solidarity and indomitable human will.
Seven prisoners, caught up in the Reign of Terror during the Stalin years, escape a Soviet Gulag in 1940. They are now free men and almost certainly, dead men. Their impending trek to safety defies any reasonable chance of success. They abide by one unceasing mandate: keep moving, keep moving, keep moving.
Weir, who will answer audience questions has numerous movie credits to his name including: Master and Commander, Dead Poet's Society, The Truman Show, Gallipoli, The Year of Living Dangerously, and much more. This is a benefit screening for the Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival.
