Docudrama is a research, performance project inspired by the confluence of dance history, biography and documentary filmmaking. Video documentation, inserted into the process as an objective replaying tool, tracks the development of this new technique. This work also lovingly explores and critiques the existing conventions of theater â space, masking, lights, and architectural framing. These elements animate simple actions, accentuate choreographic structure and forge physical relationships in a dynamic visual field of movement.
