SheWorXX, a local women's collaborative of theatre-makers, is hosting a reading of award-winning playwright Elaine Romero's play, The Fat-Free Chicana and the Snow Cap Queen, on Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 at the YWCA, 525 Bonita Ave, Tucson, AZ 85745.
About the play:
The trickster Snow Cap Queen (a.k.a. Lard Lady) works magic on the women of a family owned Mexican restaurant as they negotiate recipes, body-image and cultural identity across generational divides.
