About The International Poetry Library of San Francisco
-------------------------------------------------------------
The International Poetry Library of San Francisco (IPLSF) is a 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit library founded in 2008 whose goal is to create a resource for poets, artists, and literary enthusiasts in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. It has become clear that there is a lack of recognition of poets. IPLSF will serve as a common denominator for poets of all races, ages, genders, and backgrounds. The library will carry the extensive collection of books that have been donated from poets and other organizations. The poets are able to keep their poetry in a place where it will be recognized and kept for future generations to see.

About Tony Hoagland
-------------------------------------------------------------
Tony Hoagland was born in North Carolina into a career army family, and has worked hard to maintain their tradition of American rootlessness and disaffiliation. His collections of poetry include What Narcissism Means to Me (Graywolf Press, 2003), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award; Donkey Gospel (1998), which received the James Laughlin Award; and Sweet Ruin (1992), chosen by Donald Justice for the 1992 Brittingham Prize in Poetry and winner of the Zacharis Award from Emerson College. Hollyridge Press has published two chapbooks, Hard Rain and Little Oceans. Real Sofistikashun, a collection of craft essays about poetry has also been published by Graywolf, and in February, 2010, his fourth full-length collection of poems, Unincorporated Persons of the Late Honda Dynasty, will be available. Hoagland's other honors include grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, the O.B. Hardisson Prize for Poetry and Teaching from the Folger Shakespeare Library, as well as the Poetry Foundation's 2005 Mark Twain Award in recognition of his contribution to humor in American poetry. In 2002, the American Academy of Arts and Letters praised the poet's work with a citation stating, "Tony Hoagland's imagination ranges thrillingly across manners, morals, sexual doings, kinds of speech both lyrical and candid, intimate as well as wild." His poems and critical writings have appeared widely. He currently teaches at the University of Houston and in the Warren Wilson College MFA program.

About Chateau Tivoli
-------------------------------------------------------------
Built in 1892, as a private home, and restored a century later, the Chateau Tivoli offers nine lavishly appointed rooms and suites. Once it won the hearts of Mark Twain, Lily Langtry, and Luisa Tetrazzini, and today, its doors are open to you. Step inside, and you enter a world of Victorian splendor, a world of hand-carved woodwork, crystal chandeliers, period wallpapers, and oriental carpets. Some furnishings come from the estates of the Vanderbilts, Charles DeGaulle and J. Paul Getty, and all are artfully arranged to recreate the look and feel of life at the turn of the century. Whether you're relaxing with wine and cheese in the stately double parlor, or sipping hot tea in the ornate dining room, you'll feel welcome and well-cared for, like a special guest in an inviting private home. Charm and color are what San Francisco is all about. And there is perhaps no inn more charming or more colorful than the city's most celebrated "painted lady", the Chateau Tivoli.
