Now and Then: The Metropolitan Tract
Join us as we explore the area surrounding University Street, the former home of the Territorial University of Washington in what is now a thriving part of downtown Seattle. The tour will include photos of the old university in conjunction with discussions about current architecture and the development of the Metropolitan Tract. Tour covers multiple buildings, including the Cobb Building, 5th Avenue Theater, and the IBM Building.
Note: This tour lasts approximately two hours and begins at the SAF Gallery, 1333 5th Ave, 3rd Floor, Rainier Square Atrium at 10 am unless otherwise noted below. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; walk-ups are limited to space available. The tour is $20 per person in advance, $25 in advance with booklet. MOHAI Members: $15 per person in advance, $20 in advance with booklet. Price for walk-ups on day of tour is $25 without the booklet.
