La Jolla Tours (Winter 2011)
*** Lookup 'La Jolla Tours from Downtown San Diego (Spring 2011)' in Brown Paper Tickets for the most current schedule. See you soon. ***

La Jolla is home to amazing coastal views, seals, sea lions, brown pelicans, and black cormorants. Its village of boutique shops, art galleries, fine restaurants, and visitor attractions makes La Jolla a tourist paradise.

You will learn the fascinating history of our military, aviation, geology and much more while traveling by charter bus from downtown San Diego to La Jolla. We will make brief stops to enjoy views from one of the highest hilltops along the Southern California coast and at the Torrey Pines Golf Course, home to the 2008 U.S. Open.

You will then have free time to explore on your own or partake in one of several tour options, including a walking tour, kayak tour, or surf lesson.

A TourGuideTim La Jolla expert will take you on this afternoon tour from Downtown San Diego to La Jolla. You will learn what makes the area such a unique place that attracts visitors and new residents from around the world. For example, did you know La Jolla has the most expensive housing market in America, its Ecological Reserve has more documented marine life than anywhere else in the world, and that Charles Lindbergh set the long distance record for motor-less flight by flying off a local hilltop?
