| Description |
Once a charming playboy and admired by male cohorts, Chow Cheong-shing (Aaron Kwok) has become a violent and bitter shadow of his former self. Beset by inveterate gambling habits, and a family living in peril, Chow has nothing to rely on but the unwavering loyalty of his young son (Gow Ian Iskander). When the doting son reveals that his mother (Charlie Yeung) plans to leave him, the father mercilessly beats the woman, leaving him and his son to fend for themselves. Now forced into petty thievery to help repay his father's gambling debts, the young boy is soon locked away in a juvenile-detention facility. A visitation from Chow ends in a vicious confrontation and the embittered son permanently wounds his father, estranging the two from each other for more than a decade. Now a grown man, Chow's son is overcome by nostalgia and he returns to his hometown. As he walks the empty streets, brooding on painful memories of his youth, he suddenly glimpses a figure in the distance that resembles his father.
