Shop and Support for People's Grocery

Chefs Charlene Reis and Paul Arenstam of Summer Kitchen are hosting a fun event to benefit People's Grocery, a food justice organization that believes healthy food is a human right. The event will be a casual night of holiday shopping from some favorite local shops with food from Summer Kitchen.

"Supporting People's Grocery is a part of our ongoing efforts to highlight and support causes we believe in," said Chef/Owner Charlene Reis. "We want to use the visibility of our business to highlight the food challenges many in our community face. Our customers and neighbors are excited to support People's Grocery through this event."

From 7:00 to 10:00 pm on December 2nd, guests will enjoy light food catered by Summer Kitchen and have the opportunity to learn about People's Grocery. Participating retailers will donate, at minimum, 10% of their proceeds for the night to the organization.
