World Mandolin Concert 2015
The World Mandolin Concert is an annual and unique event held in Portland, Oregon. It features the instructors of Brian Oberlin's River of the West Mandolin Camp. This year's concert showcases the best mandolin players in their respective fields. Don Stiernberg, the king of swing and jazz mandolin from Chicago and Los Angeles' Evan Marshall, the "duo style" mandolin champion that wows audiences from any background. Also performing is Chris Acquavella, a native of San Diego now living in Germany and playing the finest contemporary classical mandolin on any continent. Rounding out the show is Portland's Brian Oberlin, playing swing, classical, bluegrass, and a new style.... Italian swing!!!
