Second Annual South Los Angeles Health and Human Rights Conference
On Dec 10, 2009, the declaration for South Los Angeles Health and Human Rights was signed by a broad-based coalition and residents in south Los Angeles, a community whose health has been marred by a long history of inequity and neglect.
One year later, the second annual South Los Angeles Health and Human Rights conference will take the DECLARATION INTO ACTION.
This groundbreaking conference will advance the understanding of health and human rights in south Los Angeles and develop a call to action to improve the health of residents at home and beyond. We will share local challenges and solutions and develop partnerships with local and national partners. Colleagues from across the world will share their experiences and examples of the international health and human rights movement.
