The Z Space Holiday Gala
This festive event will feature music by the Marcus Shelby Trio, a performance by our very own Word for Word of Grace Paley's "The Loudest Voice"*, and a sneak peak at the world premiere of "The Companion Piece."
"The Loudest Voice" is an enchanting story about young Shirley Abramowitz, the daughter of Jewish immigrants in 1930âs New York City. Because of her irrepressible voice, she is asked to narrate the schoolâs Christmas play, a request which send her family and small immigrant community into quite a philosophical quandry. Performed by Word for Word favorites, Sheila Balter, Jeri Lynn Cohen, Paul Finocchiaro and Jim Friedman and directed by Adrian Elfenbaum.
With cocktails and food, as well as a silent auction and wine raffle, it's sure to be a delightful evening. All proceeds will benefit Z Space's programs.
