Seattle Journalists: Uncovering Family Homelessness
Of the estimated 8,000 homeless people in King County, 3,000 of those are members of families with children. In an unprecedented news-reporting project, eight Seattle-area journalists went back to school earlier this year to study this problem. The work of these Seattle University Journalism Fellows appeard in a recent three-part series in the Seattle Times and will continue through fall in various media. Hear some of the journalists' insider stories-behind-the-stories at this forum moderated by KUOW Weekday host Steve Scher. Presented by Seattle University. Proceeds benefit the Seattle-King County Coalition on Homelessness.
