Alasdair Roberts
http://www.alasdairroberts.com
Alasdair Roberts is a Scottish singer, guitarist, interpreter of traditional songs and writer of new songs based in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Wire says, "Some of the weirdest wordplay this side of Damo Suzuki, Doom or Scott Walker." If you've heard of him, then you know you should come. If you've not, come and listen with your lugs. There is wordplay, sounds, and they go all the way back.

eagleowl
http://www.eagleowlattack.co.uk
eagleowl is a lo-fi post folk ensemble from Edinburgh, Scotland. The Scotsman has likened their music to "the soundtrack to the saddest, most beautiful art-house film you've never seen."; The List has described them as "simply beautiful" in a "Your new favourite bands" article. Expect hypnotic & lush soundscapes from these Edinburgh darlings.

The Wee Rogue
http://www.myspace.com/theweerogue
The Skinny says, 'Like King Creosote playing James Orr Complex's guitar ... sweet Fife lilt.' Gentle yet persistently mind-tingling modern-day ballads to fill your hearts with sorrow and joy.

The Douglas Firs
http://www.myspace.com/thedouglasfirs
The Douglas Firs, a project started by Neil Insh recording in churches, sheds and local halls, is a band making rhythmical, ambient (not electronic) guitar rock, which they claim would be verging on prog if they could play their instruments, and didn't like Buddy Holly so much. Neil is heavily influenced by the principles held by
different scenes such as the 90's DC scene, the Olympia DIY scene, and the NYC 12k scene (scenes seem to be the theme). The Firs were baptized into Edinburgh's own DIY scene with their Retreat! festival performance earlier this year.

iliop
http://www.myspace.com/iliop
Repetition joys in the foggy hour. A melodic, beat-flecked myopia. Sampler improvisation, folked melodies and feedback.
