"LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE" HEALTH AND ARTS PROGRAM CELEBRATES SEPTEMBER IS DEAF AWARENESS MONTH
L.A.S. Therapy Network and Development Group, Inc., Non-Profit Organization, celebrates September is Deaf Awareness Month, with "Laughter is the Best Medicine" Health and Arts Program Fair with Jazz Concert featuring family fun from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the south side of L P Field [home of the Tennessee Titans], in Parking Lot R.


Come comfortably dressed,  bring your chairs or blankets, a picnic basket and enjoy free health screenings, exercise with personal trainers, artistic performances and more from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in specifically designed for children and adult pleasure.  The jazz concert begins at 6:00 p.m.


Our activities include, but are not limited to the following:

Children's Area:  Shrine Circus Clowns featuring "Mater Juice"; Cama Boys Choir; TSU Cultural Arts and Music Academy activities; story-time; Se7en Art Gallery workshop; Malone Dance Studio performances; and more.

Physical Fitness:  GloryFit personal trainer leading cardio, celebrity fitness/boot camp, seniors, and children/youth exercises; chair messages by Unique Message Services [John Turner], GloryFit, and others; Memory Scavenger Hunt Walk; hearing-speech screenings; First Response & Project C.O.P.E. HIV/AIDS screening; TSU Dept of Family and Consumer Sciences, Nutrition Education by Professor Leslie Speller-Henderson; dental screenings; TSU Cares infant/child car seat application submission and education;  TN Regulatory Authority amplification devices education and application submission; and more.

Adults' Area:  88.1 WFSK-FM Radio featuring Sharon Kay; NashvilleStandUp.com Comedians Leslie Nash, John Bowman and others;

Progressive Hip-Hop Artist Iayaalis; gospel sensation Nate Bean and 4Given; Metro Parks and Recreation, Elizabeth Center Senior Dancers [formerly Swinging Seniors Dance Troupe;  Cremona Strings Ensemble Too; Paul Jack and Off the Hook Band; and much more.

Jazz Concert:  Eugenenia JoAnn Sweeney featuring the Cremona Strings Ensemble Too;  Victor Davis and the Easy Jazz Quartet; Daly [Denise Jude] & Shafer; Nashville Symphony season passes gift raffle and more.

Statom and Council Member Vivian Michael Wilhoite are honorees this year.  The entire family is invited to the expansion of the holiday spirit in formal attire free of charge.
