To the seekers of the strange and the friends of the freakish: The Mysterium Theater opens its doors on October 16th in a haunted corner of old Alameda. This is an invitation to a wild and delightful celebration of the supernatural. An opportunity to experience the strangest excitements and test the boundaries of consciousness.

The performance is a remarkable blend of illusion, imagination, and sorcery: Mysterium is ancient magical theater: Conjuring skill honed over decades, producing timeless moments, evoking another world.

Fireflies flicker, spirits whisper and spectral visions abound as mystical dreams-capes spring to life. Inspired by the shaman's journey to a place where the natural and supernatural worlds intersect, the show is a tightly woven tapestry of surreal beauty and mind bending impossibilities. Every element of the show has been painstakingly handcrafted over a decade. Illusion flourishes through a unique combination of disciplines & mediums: sleight of hand, robotics, misdirection, and movement-interactive stroboscopic lighting.

An experience of astonishment is co-created with the audience. They are involved in every one of the spectacles. The Mysterium lures its audience into a dream like trance where anything is possible and much of it is realized. Prepare for an encounter with the wholly other.
