Evolution Of Style - Imperial IPA

The Evolution of Style is an ongoing series of educational events that takes a look back at the historical development of a specific style of beer. Our second style in the series to be reviewed, discussed and tasted is a wholly American invention, the Imperial IPA. We'll sample six beers that represent the step-by-step progression from the style's pale ale origins in Britain through the American breweries' hop-crazed bastardization of the traditional IPA developed specifically for lupulus loving Hop-Heads.

At the conclusion of each session, participants will receive a glass with The Malt Shoppe logo plus a 10% discount on anything you purchase following the event. The cost is $15 (plus fees and taxes) and seating is extremely limited -- just 12 participants per 1-hour session -- available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are two sessions: 6:00 to 7:00 and 7:30 to 8:30. Be sure you select the correct time as it'll be extremely difficult to change sessions once your order has been processed.
