SLOW FOOD RUSSIAN RIVER'S "RENEWING AMERICA'S FOOD TRADITIONS" DINNER & AUCTION
As Thanksgiving draws near, Slow Food Russian River and Quivira Vineyards & Winery are celebrating the season with a special Harvest Dinner to support the 4-H Heritage Breeds project.
The event is at Quivira's beautiful, Biodynamic winery estate in Healdsburg. Acclaimed Chef Chris Cosentino of Incanto Restaurant in San Francisco will prepare a 4-course meal showcasing heritage turkeys raised by local 4-H families. Each course will be paired with Quivira wines.
The special event includes a live auction of heritage turkeys and a silent auction of travel and wine packages, just in time for holiday meals and gift-giving. The heritage birds to be served at the dinner include the Narragansett, the Bourbon Red and the Standard Bronze.
The Menu, prepared by Chef Cosentino and a team of chef friends from around the Bay Area, will feature produce from Quivira's extensive organic and Biodynamic vegetable garden. Before dinner, guests will enjoy an artisan cheese and wine reception.
