CROWNS, a play with gospel music

The Theater Project, Union County College's professional theater company is proud to present CROWNS, a delightfully celebratory play with gospel music.
Yolanda has been sent down South to stay with her aunt after her brother has been killed in Brooklyn. Hats are everywhere, especially at church, and the older black women she meets use the hats to share the heritage that has sustained them through good times and bad.
This production is funded in part by grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Geraldine R Dodge Foundation and the National Endownment for the Arts
Note: This play is performed without intermission. General admission, no assigned seating.
The audio-described performance for the sight impaired is Thursday, September 23.
There will be sign-language interpreted performances on the Sunday matinee performances, Oct 3, 10 & 17
