Songbird Festival Presents Claudio Santome and Marcello Puig at the Red Poppy House

Claudio Santome with more than 10 years singing Classical repertoire, from Bach to Verdi and Contemporary composers like Ginastera and Michael Tippet had the opportunity to approach Argentinean folk music thru Ariel Ramirez's Misa Criolla. He sung in big venues like Theater Colon in Buenos Aires, Jesuitkirche in Luzerne Switzerland, Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, Hertz Hall in Berkeley University.
Marcelo Puig was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began studying classical guitar at
age 11. He has performed and recorded with rock bands, accompanied vocalists, and numerous
international artists. He draws his guitar style from a wide range of popular musical influences such as Latin American folklore, Brazilian, Rock, Jazz, and Tango. He has been an instructor of music for over 30 years and currently enjoys teaching guitar in a variety of styles.
