Versus is a fashion performance that involves and celebrates the entire artistic community. The show features designers who have partnered with artists outside the fashion medium to present original outfits and costumes. The cast of this event includes musicians, poets, dancers, film editors, painters, fight choreographers, and photographers. Additionally, the entire program is built around the resolution of contrasting ideas. Carrier pigeon vs. text message, paper vs. plastic, dream vs. reality, and boy vs. girl will all be presented in clothing form. Versus presents its audience with new and complex fashion design and art from across the spectrum in an unorthodox manner.
Participating designers include Bri Seeley, Angel Gehm, Caroline Moir, and more. Tickets are $15, VIP tickets are $30. VIP ticket holders have access to the upstairs lounge which includes exclusive seating and the best view in the house. VIPs also receive a round of free drinks and a gift bag with exclusive favors, discounts and offers from Seattle local businesses, including Babeland, Element 5 Fitness, M'Illumino Dance Studio, Solis Fashion, Vivace Coffee, and many more.
Versus will take place on October 23rd, 2010 at the Chapel Bar (1600 Melrose Ave) from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
