The Sunshine Boys
The James Downing Theatre on Chicago's Northwest Side presents Neil Simon's endearing comedy, "The Sunshine Boys."
Al Lewis and Willie Clark were a very successful comedy team from the golden years of vaudeville 43 years of hilarious sketches and double entendres. No wonder they were called "The Sunshine Boys." Twelve years ago, an argument ended it all. Now a producer wants them to recreate one of their classic scenes for a TV special. It falls to Ben, Willie's nephew and hard-working agent, to convince the cantankerous duo to forget their feud in time for the big show. "The Sunshine Boys" is one of Neil Simon's finest.
The production, directed by Dave Downing & Ron Denham, includes cast members: Manny Schenk as Al Lewis, Scott Minches as Willie Clark and Terry Maloney as Willie's nephew, Ben. Ashley Boots, Valerie Heckman and Mark Kroon round out the talented cast. Lighting and sound design is by Steve Kedzierski. Costume and prop design is by Ashley Boots. Set design is by Joshua Dlouhy.
