All tickets for the seated viewing area GENERAL ADMISSION and VIP for Runway to Freedom are sold out!! Thank you to everyone for your support in this event.
Standing room only tickets will be available at the event on the day of show, on a LIMITED basis. The Back Bar reception area will be open to the public, and Runway Raffle tickets will be available, as well as donation opportunities. The Back Bar reception area will also be available for mingling, press opportunites, and networking for all Runway to Freedom supporters.
Seattle, WA (September 2010), Top Seattle hair stylists, fashion designers, and retailers have come together to raise money for the local non-profit, New Beginnings. Ã,Ã,ÂRunway to FreedomÃ,Ã,Â, a fashion show and fundraiser hosted by MC Macklemore will take place on September 23, 2010. Set in the sophisticated restaurant Bastille in Ballard, a suggested minimum $15 admission gets you into the gala event which features raffle prizes including designer handbags, top of the line products baskets, and dinners for four. Appetizer specials and VIP swag bags are available as well.

Ã,Ã,ÂRunway to Freedom is being put together by two Seattle hairstylists, Shawn Michael and Lauryn Grinnell of Intermezzo Salon and Spa. Both are Seattle natives and committed to their community. As a duo they have won awards for team styling. They are bringing together their varied experiences to the high stakes world of fashion to give support to women in need and New Beginnings.
New Beginnings, http://www.newbegin.org is a Seattle based non-profit whose mission statement is Ã,Ã,Âto provide shelter, advocacy, and support to battered woman and their children and change attitudes and social institutions that foster and perpetuate violence. Shawn and Lauryn are not alone in their efforts to support this mission. For the event Runway to FreedomÃ,Ã, they have attracted numerous supporters including; Zebra Club, The Powder Room, designer Lina Cho, and as a sponsor the event, national distributor Salon Services.
This night is truly Seattle; Designer Lina Cho is a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle, The Zebra Club is a staple in urban wear and style, and the Powder Room is the evolution of Pike Market favorite Retro Viva. Seattle MC Macklemore has been called a Ã,Ã,Âtruthful artistÃ,Ã, and the Stranger writes, One can sense his decompression, his willingness, or rather his need to put it all out there, bolstered by the necessary skills to back it up.
