Mental Health Symposium and Champions Award Luncheon
This is a FREE Symposium confronting cultural disparities and identifying those barriers to positive outcomes in mental health
We are trying to determine the gaps in providing mental health care to diverse populations.
Is your community receiving the proper mental health services it should? If not, why not?
What are the barriers or problems that have to be overcome?
What stigma(s) must be dealt with and overcome?
Have there been any studies or reported data that you could share about your group?
What are your clients' thoughts on receiving care and or service?
Are there adequate funds and service providers?
Do service providers understand your group?
Are services readily available/ or are there barriers to receiving service?
Does historical trauma play a role in the problem?
We welcome you to sign up for any of the workshops. This is your opportunity to get to know other members of the community.
