CounterPULSE presents new work from our Summer 2010 Artists in Residence Laura Arrington and Jesse Hewit. These two emerging dance theater artists contemplate femininity in a double bill of performance. Laura Arrington's "Hot Wings," a dance that's probably feminist, aims directly at the fabricated in an effort to uncover what actually is feminine. Hewit's "Tell Them That You Saw Me" is a dance theater work that visually and kinetically considers the high art of performing feminine subjectivities within contemporary narratives.
Note: There will be no admission to the show after 5 minutes into the performance, regardless of pre-paid status, so please arrive on time!
